Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Export Theme Options from the Original Site
- Log into Your Site: Access the WordPress dashboard of the site where your settings are saved.
- Navigate to Flatsome Settings:
- Go to Flatsome > Advanced.
- Scroll down to the Backup & Import section.
- Copy Theme Options Code:
- Find the code box with your theme settings. Select all the code, then copy it. (Press
Ctrl+C
on Windows orCmd+C
on Mac.)

Tip: You can right-click and select “Copy” if that’s easier!
Step 2: Import Theme Options to the New Site
- Log into Your New Site: Go to the WordPress dashboard for the site where you’ll apply these settings.
- Navigate to Flatsome’s Advanced Settings:
- Go to Flatsome > Advanced.
- Scroll to the Backup & Import section.
- Paste and Import:
- Clear out any existing data in the import box, then paste the code you copied.
- Click on Import Options to apply your settings.
Important: This will replace any existing theme options on the new site. If you have prior settings you want to keep, back them up first!
Step 3: Confirm Changes
- Check Your Site: Visit the new site to confirm that all theme settings, including logo, navigation, styles, and typography, have successfully migrated.
- Adjust as Needed: Make minor adjustments if needed to finalize the setup.
Since importing will override any existing settings, make a manual backup if you’re unsure about replacing current configurations. Use your hosting provider’s backup option if needed to easily restore your site if you change your mind later.
