Step by step Guide

Step 1: Install the Code Snippets Plugin

1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
2. Go to Plugins > Add New.
3. Search for “Code Snippets” and click Install.
4. Once installed, click Activate. This plugin makes adding and managing code snippets easy.

Step 2: Add the Free Shipping Code Snippet

1. Navigate to Snippets > Add New in your WordPress dashboard.
2. Name your snippet – let’s call it Free Shipping Notification.
3. Paste in the code snippet provided by Business Bloomer (linked in the description).
   • This snippet calculates the remaining amount customers need to spend to reach free shipping.
4. Customize the text of the notification if desired. You can set:
   • Free shipping threshold (amount customers need to spend).
   • Text language or style, making it match your website’s tone.
5. Save and activate the snippet.

Step 3: Set Up Free Shipping in WooCommerce

1. In your dashboard, go to WooCommerce > Settings.
2. Select the Shipping tab, then click on Shipping Zones.
   • Here, either create a new zone or edit an existing one.
3. Under the selected shipping zone, click Add Shipping Method and choose Free Shipping.
4. Set the Minimum Order Amount to match your free shipping threshold in the notification code.
5. Click Save.

Step 4: Test the Notification

1. Add items to your cart and check the shopping cart page.
   • If the cart total is below the free shipping threshold, you’ll see a message like “Spend [X amount] more to get free shipping.”
   • When the cart total meets or exceeds the threshold, the message will disappear.
2. Ensure everything looks correct and displays in your chosen language or style.
